| Hello everyone, the rivers are starting to open up and some water will be flowing very soon. Within 2 weeks we will be fishing for early run King salmon. We will also be fishing for Rainbow Trout. I have some dates still open during the end of May and a few morning trips in June. The afternoon trips are still filling in and if you want to go fishing let me know very soon so i can get you in one of our boats. The King salmon run in the Susitna drainage is going to be an average run. This means some good fishing but not a huge influx of fish. The Little Susitna is going to be very good for King salmon fishing and this is where we will be spending most of our time. The Rainbow trout fishing is going to be very good this year and the silver salmon fishing will be average run this year. Give me a call or send me an e-mail and lets go fishing. | Hello everyone, today I heard that the rivers are starting to flow. There is still Ice and Snow along the rivers but we have flowing water. The temp is reaching the upper 40's to low 50's each day now. We are also starting to catch early Rainbows and Dolly Varden, Arctic Grayling. I wouls estimate that in about 2-3 weeks the early run of King salmon will start to arrive into the rivers. Hello everyone, here is my 2008 fishing predictioins. The Little Susitna should see a strong return of King salmon this year. I was told they should be 4 year old King salmon coming back this year. The Deshka river on the other hand will see a Decrease of returning King salmon. They are only estimating around 20,000 Kings. The limit will be 1 King salmon per person this year. The silver salmon return is pretty much unknown at this time. This is the return from the flood year of 2005. Several people seem to think the return will be weak but i think it will be fine. The silvers should return in good numbers to our area. The Rainbow trout fishing should be awsome this year. Plenty of water and a mild winter it will be some great fishing.

Hello everyone, sorry for not keeping up on the fishing reports. The Department of Fish and Game has reopened the silver salmon fishing to catch and keep on the Little Susitna river. I may run a few trips if the fishing remains decent.
The rainbow trout fishing is the best fishing happening right now. The rainbows are feeding heavy in preperation for winter. The rivers are in good shape and the bite has been pretty good. If you would like to catch some rainbow trout in Alaska just let me know and we can make it happen. |

Hello everyone, I have been silver salmon fishing on the Little Susitna river and I will say that the run is over with. The Department of Fish and Game has gone to catch and release fishing on the Little Susitna river. I will not be running anymore silver salmon trips this year.
The Rainbow trout trips have been doing very well and I will be running these trips until October. The rainbow trout are nice and fat and very active. If you are interested give me a call and we can make it happen. Talk to you soon, Norm. |

| Hello everyone, sorry for not keeping up on the fishing reports. Over the past week we have had some really tough days and some really good days. Lately the fishing has been pretty good during the morning trips. The afternoon are to sunny right now. The rainbow trout fishing has been doing very well and will be good for awhile until freeze up. I went moose hunting on Saturday and we saw a couple of bulls and a cow and Kevin and I fished for a short time and caught our silvers. I will be fishing the next week and I will let you know how I do. I still have some room for the morning trips so give me a call and lets go catch some silver salmon. Talk to you soon, Norm. |

| Hello everyone, I fished the Little Susitna river Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and we did pretty good. I did not fish today and today was the opening day of Moose season in our area. One of the other guides got a spike bull moose today which will put food on the table this winter. On Friday one of my afternoon clients went down in the parking lot with an aneurysm. They were able to take him to the hospital and repair the leak but he passed away on Saturday. He was with his family and they were from Denmark. I was honored to call him a friend and he was one of the niciest and happiest men I have ever known. It was a sad day and I will miss fishing with him in the future. Talk to you soon, Norm. |

| Hello everyone, today Kevin and I fished the Little Susitna river for silver salmon. We both had full boats this morning and we both came back with 11 fish each. The silver salmon bite was very good and we had many missed fish and numerous other bites. I will be fishing the Little Susitna river for silver salmon tomorrow and I will let you know how I do. Hello everyone, today Kevin and I fished the Little Susitna river for silver salmon. Our morning clients limited out with their silver salmon. We were drifting salmon roe on bobbers and running jet divers.
I fished with clients this afternoon and they limited out on silver salmon.
